The Secret To A Pimple-Free Face Is A Good Cleansing Regimen

It is actually unlikely that one can get rid of pimples overnight. Many so-called quick remedies that promise to vanish away your pimples in less than 24 hours are most of the time ineffective. The problem with some of these quick-fix solutions is that they can even worsen a swollen acne instead of treating it. So don’t believe all those quick-fix cures that you hear about instead study each remedy and see if they make sense at all.

Here are some of the most ridiculous methods I have encountered that promise to help one get rid of pimples overnight:

1. That toothpaste helps stop swelling of the acne. I am not very sure whether this is necessary because when toothpaste hardens on the acne, its removal may be difficult and could cause the acne to erupt and eventually lead to scarring.

2. Some believe that crushed garlic cloves applied on the acne would also help reduce swelling. I would not advise anyone to do this because this is going to be painful and could further inflame the acne.

3. That strawberry leaves when placed on the acne also reduce swelling. This may be unnecessary because it is just impossible to cure a swollen acne overnight.

The appearance of pimples is as natural as growing up among teenagers. During this age, our sebaceous glands are very active in producing sebum which is actually oil that goes to and clogs the pores of the skin. The skin has plenty of bacteria that can feast on the oil or sebum found on the pores and when this happens the skin gets irritated and inflamed.

The skin on the face which is very sensitive is most especially prone to pimple formation.

The best way to deal with pimples is to devise a cleansing regimen that can remove excess oil and dirt from the face and thus prevent possible infection and further worsening of the pimple.

Below is a cleansing regimen that can be done twice daily:

1. Wet face with warm water. This would open the pores and help dissolve the oil away. Cleanse face with an anti-acne facial wash. Work the liquid soap into a foam by gently massaging face in circular motion. Wash off soap with warm water again. To close the skin pores, pour cold water on the face.

2. Pat the skin dry with a clean towel. Remove dead skin cells from the face by exfoliating. Simply massage the entire face with exfoliating cream for a few minutes then wash off with water.

3. To help dry up the pimples, use hydrogen peroxide. Dab a tiny amount of the peroxide on the pimples with a clean finger and let dry.

The regimen above may not help you get rid of pimples overnight but over time it can improve the skin’s condition and make your face pimple-free all the time.
